Somewhere in a cupboard near you there’s a tub of loose bricks, half genuine, half mystery. That’s the honest starting point for most families in the LEGO-compatible building blocks vs genuine LEGO debate: it’s rarely a clean choice between two camps, it’s a scavenged pile that somehow still gets built into a spaceship by Sunday … Read more
There’s a particular kind of quiet that settles over a room when someone’s sorting bricks by colour instead of scrolling their phone. There’s a specific kind of quiet that falls over a room when a finished starship model sits on the shelf, catching the light just right. Here’s a confession every parent eventually makes: you bought a LEGO set expecting twenty minutes of quiet, and instead you got three separate afternoons of quiet, because your child kept tearing the thing apart and rebuilding it into something else entirely. Choosing a LEGO City set sounds simple until you’re actually stood there, box in hand, wondering whether the 94-piece police car or the 668-piece … Read more
Buying LEGO Friends sets for a 6 year old girl sounds simple, right up until you’re stood in the toy aisle staring at forty near-identical boxes wondering whether your six-year-old actually has the patience for a 700-piece club house or whether she’ll get halfway through bag two and wander off to watch cartoons. We’ve all … Read more
There’s a very specific sound every parent in Britain knows: the crunch of bare foot meeting stray brick at 6am. If you’ve ever hopped across a landing like you’re dodging landmines, you already understand why a decent building blocks storage bag isn’t a luxury — it’s basic household infrastructure. This guide exists because “just get … Read more
